Achievement Descriptions
Founders Award (White Ribbon) Each Toastmaster member who sponsors a new club receives a Founders Award patch or ribbon for their club banner in honor of Dr. Ralph Smedley, founder of Toastmasters International. To receive the award the sponsoring Clubs number must appear on the chartering Clubs application to organize. Return to Top
Smedley Award (Purple Ribbon (2000), Green Ribbon (2008)) The organization of the first Toastmasters club by Ralph C. Smedley, Ph.D in October 1924 did not make global or even local headlines. But clubs can make Toastmasters anniversary a newsworthy event. Commemorate the start of the first Toastmasters club by adding five new members to your club during the months of July and August, and your club will receive the commemorative Smedley Award banner ribbon to celebrate its success. Member receives a pin for each 5 members they sponsor. Return to Top
Area Governor Home Club (Purple Ribbon) A member serves as Area Governor. Veronica Bucki served as area governor.

Distinguished Area Award Program Area Achieves four of the following: 75% of October member payments received to World Toastmaster HQ by Nov. 15th for the area. 75% of April member payments received to World Toastmaster HQ by May 15th for the area. Average of 1.75 CTM's per club by June 30th Average of .5 ATM's per club by June 30th. 60% of clubs at distinguished status. Return to Top
Select Distinguished Area Award (Navy Blue Ribbon) Achieve five of the above goals and: Submit 80% of the area report visit forms to World HQ for first round of visits by Nov. 30th Submit 80% of the area report visit forms to World HQ for second round of visits by May 31st. 60% of clubs at over 20 membership by June 30th. President's Distinguished Area Award (Navy Blue Ribbon) Achieve all of the select distinguished area goals and: Net growth of one club or more Return to Top
Select Distinguished Club (Navy Blue Ribbon) Achieve 7 of the following 10 goals. Have 2 CTMs (Competent Toastmaster) 2 additional CTMs Have 1 ATM (Advanced Toastmaster) 1 addtional ATM Have 1 CL, AL or DTM 1 more CL, AL, or DTM Have 4 new members 4 more new members Minimum of 4 club officers trained twice during the TM year. Dues in to Toastmaster's International prior to October 10 and club officer list in prior to June 30th of the previous Toastmaster year. Return to Top
