There are also several other roles that Toastmasters perform that provide speaking opportunities and keep the meeting flowing smoothly. These include the
Toastmaster who sets the agenda and introduces each participant, the
Ah Counter who listens for crutch words like "ah" and "um", the
Timer who keeps track of the speech times, and a
Humorist who sets the happy mood for the meeting.
